I'm building a quiz for a server-side scripting class. My second question is how do i link the button into php. And i dont know how to link it without the name part because i need the name to be all 1 otherwise you can select every radiobutton. Use the checked attribute to pre-select a radio button, for example: checkedĮach of these is a valid technique to define a checked radio button. I've searched through a lot of previously asked questions about php and radio buttons but I haven't yet found something helping in my situation. I have a question about radio buttons in html and linking into php. When a radio button is selected, any other radio button with the same name (in the group) that was previously selected becomes unchecked. The way I know its not getting through isset() is because it is not echoing out 'in isset ' therefore can not reach the rest of my code. When you are done, write that to a hidden input. I have tried this method before but with text fields, so I'm assuming I am doing something wrong with the configuration of the radio buttons. In the comment textarea field, we put the script between the tags. On your diycake.php you should check, isset(POST'submit'), if the form was sent. The value from the radio button is also in the POST variable, accessible by it's name.As you are writing the radio buttons, just make a semi-colon-separated list of all the names that you make. so for a class assignment we are using HTML and PHP to make a form that asks a user to input two (2) numbers and to choose between addition, subtraction, multiplication or division form using radio buttons, THEN to input a guess as to what the answer is. To show the values in the input fields after the user hits the submit button, we add a little PHP script inside the value attribute of the following input fields: name, email, and website. A user can only select one radio button from a group of radio buttons. If you are able to alter the form that is being generated, you could write a hidden input that provided a list of all the radio buttons that you want to look for. My ultimate goal is to allow the site admin to be able to change the color of the theme by selecting from a few options. The first is 'question1', the second is 'question2' and so on. I'm now trying to do the same with a radio button. The radio buttons do belong to a radio group with each pass of the while statement. I'm learning PHP on my own and have no idea if this is the correct way to do this. I'm not very experienced when it comes to PHP, but I have figured out how to display a value inputted from a text box. Not sure if I'm setting this up right or not. I’m having trouble properly validating radio buttons and passing the selected result to a formmail.Radio buttons come in groups identified by using the same name attribute on all buttons within that group. Basically, when the user selects one of the radio buttons, I want the action for that radio button to be performed.
